She holds both a diploma in Theatre Performance from Mount Royal University, and a BFA in Theatre from Simon Fraser University. She has performed in and produced four of Tightrope Impro Theatre's (formerly Sour Dog Theatre) productions in both Calgary and Vancouver. Her previous Tightrope credits include Dog Sees God, 7 Stories, Queenpins of Ponoka, and Girls Like That. She was the lead instructor for Airdrie’s youth/teen theatre program Kids on Broadway for two consecutive years. Sarah taught Dance, Gymnastics, and Karate for 6 years to kids ages 4 months - 12 years old at The Little Gym of Airdrie. It was there that she learned how important Improvisation is to the motor skill development, and imaginations of kids. Tightrope’s values of “Always learn, always play” are one of the many reasons she is excited to be a part of the Youth and Teen Faculty. Because she is a settler on the unceded Indigenous territories belonging to the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, she is critical of her own privilege as a witness and creator. She is excited to continue to be a student, performer, and supporter of Tightrope Theatre!
