Impro is a style of improvisation played around the world. It is an approach that embraces diverse perspectives, revels in physicality, and seeks truthfulness as a source of extraordinary comedy. This course will give you strong footing with the foundational improv games, a basic understanding of narrative, and set you up to follow the path to becoming an improvisor. Immerse yourself in the Tightrope style.
FOUNDATIONS BOOTCAMP
Have you completed the Foundations courses and looking to put your new skills to the test? Or are you an experienced improvisor who's looking to further your training with Tightrope?
This course is made for you! We we'll blast through the Foundations of Impro as we see it at Tightrope, with lots of room for new games, concepts, and on-stage scene work. A pre-requisite for our Studio Classes. Scholarships available. No one is turned away for lack of funds. Come play with Tightrope!
OUR VENUE
All of our In-Studio classes take place at the Tightrope Theatre 2343 Main Street. Our theatre space, designed specifically for improvisation training and performance, has lights and sound, as well as props, costumes & set pieces to bring your scenes to life.
