Join us for a weekly dose of FUN!
Whether you are new to improv or have experience, this weekly drop in class will give you an engaging brain work out. Participants will explore the foundations of improv and apply them to living with PD. This drop in is flexible for your life and your schedule without committing to a full course. Participants will build new skills, work together, tell stories, and LAUGH. Open to all levels of improv experience. Participants must have PD - family members and caregivers are welcome to join.
Presented by the BC Brain Wellness program, join us each week as a small group of improvisors from Tightrope Impro Theatre offer a 1 hour interactive improv experience. We will connect with participants through storytelling, interactive games, conversation, music, movement and suggestions. Geared toward those with Alzheimers and other forms of Dementia, this class aims to be engaging, enjoyable, and stimulating - for anyone! Feel free to participate or just watch and laugh. We encourage family members and caregivers to attend with participants, as many games can be played after the class.
Thursdays from 3:00pm-4:00pm PST
Presented by the BC Brain Wellness program, Tightrope Impro Theatre teachers will lead participants through improvisation exercises to foster the skills of presence, listening, spontaneity, teamwork and co-creation. This workshop series will help you cope with anxiety, fear and overthinking by releasing expectations and being in the moment. The series will encourage you to discover the joy in collaborating with others and to apply this approach to overcome isolation and the discouraging effects of living with compromised brain health.
